Fixing Factory is a project set up by two charities, Possible and The Restart Project, and we are so delighted to now be supporting their work in making a big impact in the world of repair at the heart of communities.
Launched in 2022, Fixing Factory help people fix their broken electricals and learn new fixing skills, shifting us from our current take-make-waste linear system towards a repair economy fit for the future. At their bright orange workshops on the high streets (6 sites now up and running), they are tackling electronic waste head-on. With support from volunteers they offer a mix of drop off repair services, workshops, future repairers training and community repair events; providing direct social and environmental benefit to their communities.
The important work at the Fixing Factory is going from strength to strength and we can’t wait to see their continued impact as they grow and become more prevalent on the UK’s high streets.
