We are so delighted to be able to add Seawilding as our grant partner and support their team in the next stages of important marine habitat restoration work in the UK.
Seawilding is the UK’s first community-based native oyster and seagrass restoration project. They are located in Argyll and Wester Ross with a mission to restore lost biodiversity, sequester carbon, create green jobs and mentor other community-based groups to do the same. Their team support other sea conservation projects across the UK through advice, training, networking and sharing of their science reports, keeping information as an open source to boost other project’s successes. Engaging young people within their communities is also at the heart of what they do; inspiring and teaching younger generations about the importance of coastal environments and celebrating marine life.
Seawilding are achieving fantastic results with their research and restoration work and we are excited to see their progress continue.
